It covers nearly 98% of the P3 color gamut. The device features a metal unibody design and it brings a three speaker setup that has been co-engineered with the French audio firm Devialet.

Huawei MatePad Paper

The Huawei MatePad family has LCD and OLED screens, it is now welcoming the first E Ink screen member. The MatePad Paper has been designed for reading and writing down notes owing to the 10.3″ E Ink display that comes with smart refresh technology but it has also been designed as a fully-fledged tablet.

The benefits that it carries over the traditional LCD and AMOLED tablets are evident in conditions of direct sunlight where the E Ink display remains perfectly clear. It arrives with a special anti-glare layer on top and it supports 32 levels of brightness which makes it easier to read in darker environments without any issues.

Huawei also boasts the advantages of the MatePad Paper’s large screen real-estate in comparison to traditional e-readers; you get a more spacious display area that can fit more text and it needs less page-turning.

Huawei’s software team has developed a smart refresh mode for the MatePad which lets you play videos, surf the web, and also navigate the interface than other E Ink displays.

The MatePad Paper supports Huawei’s second-gen M-Pencil stylus with the same 4096 pressure sensitivity levels. Huawei claims 26ms latency. The screen on the tab is also of the PMMA variety which adds a textured feel and it should feel more natural to write and draw on.
