Dejan Kulusevski made his first start in the Premier League as Tottenham Hotspur defeated Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium. In his first full Premier League debut, the former Juventus winger provided a goal and an assist against the defending champions.
He found the back of the net five minutes into the game, and in the dying stages of the game, provided the assist for Harry Kane’s winning goal.
Dejan Kulusevski’s transfer details revealed
Tottenham Hotspur’s biggest signing of the January transfer window helped them win all three points against the best team at their home stadium.
He is currently on a loan deal for 18 months, with the total loan fee set at €10 million. In June 2023, Tottenham will have an obligation to sign Dejan Kulusevski permanently if he starts 15 games and if the club qualifies for the Champions League next season.
The buy option is priced at €35 million, with €5 million available in add-ons as well. Spurs also have the option to buy the player at any time they see fit. But, the option will become compulsory under the circumstances mentioned above.
The 21-year-old was signed by Fabio Paratici at Juventus from Parma, and persuaded the youngster to make the move to England and join him once again. He showed glimpses of his brilliance with the Bianconeri, but failed to seal a place in the starting XI. And now, he has a chance to prove himself in the best and most difficult league in the world.
