Manchester City are eyeing up a transfer for yet another Brazilian talent. This time, it is Atletico Mineiro’s Savinho, who is attracting interest from the City group. They have made an official proposal for the player already, and are waiting for a response.

A bid worth €6.5 million has been tabled for the youngster, with add-ons included along with a sell-on clause. The two parties are in talks for the player, and are hopeful of wrapping up the deal soon. But, a total agreement is yet to be reached between the two.

Manchester City make official bid for Savinho

The Atletico Mineiro academy graduate was a part of the squad that won the Brazilian league and the Cup last season. He is one of their brightest prospects, and has attracted interest from Arsenal and the Red Bull group as well.

They are waiting in the wings, and would be willing to engage if the deal with Manchester City falls through. However, if Savinho is signed, he will have to spend time away on loan. PSV Eindhoven is the most likely destination for the winger to develop before he is given a chance in the bigger team.

After securing deals for Kayky and Metinho from Brazil, Manchester City are closing in on their third big signing from the country. They are preparing a squad for the future with some of the top talents from South America, and these players will be integrated into the fold in a few years’ time.
