The new-gen consoles have not only brought significant improvements in terms of performance but also a lot of new features that makes new consoles like PS5 even better. It seems Sony is pushing a new update that will further add some interesting features like New Party Chat Options or Voice Command features among many.
Among the series of updates that Sony has introduced recently what really excites us has to be this new voice command update (limited to U.S. and U.K.) for finding and opening games, apps, and settings, as well as controlling media playback on the PS5 console.
Only beta participants for these two countries will be able to access PS5 via voice commands and one has to call out “Hey, PlayStation!” and let it do basic stuff like finding a game, or say opening an app or settings. As you already know you can also open or view entertainment apps like Disney+ from the console so simply with voice command one can control playback while enjoying a movie, TV show or song.
One can turn off this feature anytime within system settings and Sony has confirmed that it never records audio for child accounts. Also, this feature is in its early testing phase and Sony will be keeping it or listening to the community feedback for further updates regarding using this voice command feature.
However, to get access to their pre-released features you have to join/register for a chance to be a part of the PS5 or PS4 beta.
