Dejan Kulusevski is all set to join Tottenham Hotspur on a loan transfer. The Swedish winger will be making the move for €5 million as the guaranteed loan fee.
He is expected to be in London today to complete the transfer. There is a buy option included in the loan option, which is valued at €40 million, plus add-ons. The option could become mandatory in case Tottenham qualify for the Champions League, or Kulusevski makes a certain number of appearances for the club.
Tottenham sign Dejan Kulusevski on loan
The two clubs have reached a total agreement for the transfer, and Tottenham are preparing to announce Dejan Kulusevski as their new winter arrival.
Kulusevski has found a place in the starting lineup hard to come by, with the dearth of attacking talent that Juventus possess. The arrival of Dusan Vlahovic has made the likelihood of him starting up front even lower. As a result, Juventus have agreed to move him on, with the loan deal to Spurs.
Interestingly, Tottenham sporting director Fabio Paratici was the man who signed Kulusevski at Juventus from Atalanta in January 2020. The deal was worth €35 million plus €10 million in add-ons.
At that time, Antonio Conte wanted Kulusevski at Inter Milan but failed to get him. Two years on, Paratici has recruited the player for Conte, at Tottenham Hotspur. He will be the first signing for Tottenham in the ongoing winter transfer window.
