Tottenham Hotspur are trying to sign Wolves forward Adama Traore within this window. The talks between the two clubs are still on, and Spurs have no intentions of giving up on the player, who they have had on their radar for months.
The director of the club, Fabio Paratici, has been trying to sign Adama Traore since last summer. And he is in the market for the player right now as well. The relationship with his agent is a strong one as well, which could prove to be beneficial in Paratici’s attempts.
Adama Traore on Spurs’ radar
Although Wolves manager Bruno Lage is trying to keep the Spaniard at the club, Spurs are expected to push for the signing in the coming days.
Currently, they are working on selling players such as Tanguy Ndombele and Steven Bergwijn, all of whom have been strongly linked with transfers away from London. Adama Traore, if signed, would be a replacement for Bergwijn, who has been linked with a move back to Ajax in his home country, the Netherlands.
According to the Athletic, Adama Traore could depart the Molineux for a fee worth £20 million, after Tottenham’s initial bid of £15 million was rejected.
Having signed Chiquinho this week, and expecting the return of Pedro Neto, Wolves are prepared if Traore ends up leaving the club. The two clubs are close to reaching an agreement and the final agreement could be achieved within the coming days.
