When it comes to a concrete launch, Apple’s augmented reality headset can’t seem to catch a break. According to recent reports, the device may be delayed until 2023 due to a slew of issues, including overheating and others, which we shall detail momentarily.

According to Bloomberg, Apple has hit both hardware and software hurdles in the development of its planned augmented reality headset. Aside from overheating, the report claims that the corporation has encountered additional difficulties, such as camera and software integration. All of these problems may cause Apple to postpone its debut until 2023.

The AR headgear was supposed to be unveiled at WWDC 2022, but a different expert, Ming-Chi Kuo, predicted that it would be announced in the fourth quarter of the same year. Kuo also predicted that shipments will take up in the first quarter of 2023, though given the newest news, it’s unclear when Apple would be able to increase shipments for this gadget.

Apple was rumored to be testing an AR headset with fans for better cooling, but this feature was probably dropped from the commercial model because it would add unneeded bulk and noise to the whole package. Unfortunately, removing an active cooling system raises the chance of overheating, which could be one of the many issues that the tech giant has encountered.

Furthermore, because the AR headset will include one 4nm and one 5nm chip, it will be capable of delivering remarkable computing performance. According to a prior source, the headset would be able to match the M1’s capabilities. Because the AR headgear is said to use the same 96W adaptor as the 2021 MacBook Pro, it appears to use a lot of power, implying that Apple is experiencing overheating issues.

According to reports, Apple has informed its supply chain that the AR headset will most likely be released in 2023, with a price tag of $2,000 in mind. The device’s entire potential may be unlocked by syncing it with an iPhone, but we’re convinced there’s a lot more than we’re aware of. As always, additional information is planned for the coming weeks, so stay tuned.
