Luis Nani signs 1.5 year contract with Venezia
Venezia have confirmed the arrival of Luis Nani in an official statement: “Venezia FC is pleased to announce the acquisition of Nani on a free transfer following the expiration of her contract with Orlando City SC of Major League Soccer. The 35-year-old Portuguese star attacker has signed a contract until the 2022/23 season.”
The Serie A outfit is one place out from relegation, and is battling to survive the drop after coming up from Serie B.
They have had a remarkable performance in the transfer market this window, signing a number of key players. Alongside Luis Nani, former Manchester United goalkeeper Sergio Romero has also joined the club as a free agent, which will be a big boost to them.
Earlier in the window, Venezia completed a transfer for Bayern Munich midfielder Michael Cuisance. They have also signed Chelsea’s Ethan Ampadu on loan until the end of the season, which significantly increases the quality of their squad.
