Today, at CES 2022 keynote AMD will be launching its new entry-level GPU to compete with the likes of Intel and NVIDIA. It will announce the upcoming AMD Radeon RX 6500XT to complete its entire portfolio of AMD Radeon RX 6000 series GPUs that they launched back last year.

Videocardz did leak the specs of the upcoming GPU even before launch, so, the RX 6500XT will feature a boost clock speed of 2815 MHz and with the game clock set to 2610 MHz by default. This is a much high clock speed, 9% to 10% higher than its elderly brother RX 6600XT that is based on Navi 23.

As we already know both the AMD Radeon RX 6500XT and RX 6400 GPUs are based on the affordable/entry-level Navi 24 GPU, using the TSMC N6 process technology, which will be the first ones to adopt the new process.

The RX 6500 XT will offer 1024 Stream Processors and up to 4GB GDDR6 memory across the 64-bit interface, and a TDP of 107W while the RX 6400 will be an OEM-exclusive. Interestingly, Videocardz has confirmed that the GPU will sport a higher 18Gbps memory bandwidth than what it was previously rumoured (16Gbps).

You won’t have to wait much longer as AMD will announce the Radeon RX 6500XT today and its rumoured to come on shelves from January 19th onwards.
