How is Sourav Ganguly’s condition right now?

“He was taken to Woodlands Nursing Home last night. He has been given medication and is currently stable,” a BCCI source, who is keeping track of Ganguly’s health, told PTI.

Ganguly was taken to the hospital late on 27th December, after his RT PCR test returned positive. The 49-year-old has been struggling with health issues since early 2021 as well.

He underwent an emergency angioplasty after being admitted to hospital twice this year due to cardiac issues. “Sourav is stable. He underwent angioplasty earlier this year. So as a precautionary measure he has been admitted to Woodlands,” Snehasish Ganguly, Sourav’s brother, told The Indian Express.

Snehashish Ganguly also tested positive for the virus earlier this year, and his brother’s comorbidity has led to the family taking no chances surrounding his health. A period of isolation in the hospital is expected for the former Indian skipper, due to the protocols in place.

And since he is currently stable, we can expect him to be discharged from the nursing home after a few days as well.
