Why RTX 3070 Ti? NVIDIA launched the RTX-30 series GPUs over a year now, and while it has got a lot of positive reviews, the shortages of its cards have made them inaccessible and harder to recommend. Off recently, the situation has slightly improved, especially in India and having talked about prices from many retailers, and the prices are a bit decreasing.
Though the stock of RTX 3080 remains poor and nowhere you will find it in the market, the RTX 3070 and 3060 series is very much accessible. However, you do miss the fancy designs of OEM cards and, of course, RGBs, but if you are paying only ₹53,500, this GPU is a great option to check out. Here we will discuss why you should buy this card and whom this is intended while also getting a deep dive into the gaming performance of this card.
Specifications
During the launch, the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti was ready to take on the Radeon RX 6800 series with fast GDDR6X memory. Even though designed for 1440p gaming, you can expect a good 4K gaming performance with DLSS. It comes with a full-flat GA104 GPU core based on the same Samsung’s 8nm process node, featuring 6144 CUDA cores or 48 SMs.
So, it has 4% more CUDA cores than the GeForce RTX 3070; however, 30% lower cores than the regular GeForce RTX 3080. It features the same 256-bit bus interface and will be rated at 19 Gbps memory bandwidth like the GeForce RTX 3080 and the RTX 3080 Ti.
The Founder’s Edition of the RTX 3070 Ti packs the same 12-pin micro-fit power interface and a brand new PCB design similar to the distinctive PCB designs we see on the higher-end versions. For outputs, you have 1 HDMI 2.1 & triple DP 2.0 interfaces.

Productivity
NVIDIA’s RTX 30-series GPUs work like a charm with their faster GDDRR6X memory; however, they are limited in the VRAM memory. AMD’s Radeon RX 6000 series GPUs generally perform better in productivity, but the RTX 3070 Ti was not much behind, to be honest.
With all its fast 8GB GRRD6 memory, it managed to give close competition to the RTX 3080 and overall, it’s a good GPU for productivity as well as content creation. However, if you only mean to do work stuff, then the RX 6800XT is a monster, but the RTX 3070 Ti is an excellent choice for both gaming and content creation.
Considering its wide availability and price-to-performance ratio in productivity, the RTX 3070 Ti, as you see in benchmarks, performs very similarly to the RTX 3080. Costing less than the rare RTX 3080, the RTX 3070 Ti is a sweet spot for those looking to do both gaming and some production/content creation stuff.
Also, keep in mind, NVIDIA has a comprehensive suite of creativity tools and integrations which you might find tempted to discover; however, NVIDIA should provide more VRAM next time.
Gaming
As an alternative to the rare RTX 3080 in the market for all those looking to play games at 4K, the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti FE seems to be a great solution. Also, if you are lucky, you can get the fan edition of this card at the MSRP, which some are getting; this could be a great deal for you.
If you use a new CPU like the latest Intel Core i9-12900K you will end up giving you some extra frame boost thanks to the increased gaming performance of these new Intel processors. So, an RTX 3070 Ti paired with a new 12th Intel CPU should give you good results in modern gaming; here are all the gaming benchmarks:
As you see in the benchmarks both at 1440p and 4K, you see strong gaming performance with hundreds of FPS in battle royal games. While even in the most demanding triple-A games like NFS Heat or Guardian’s of the Galaxy you see strong performance even without using DLSS.
I had a great time pairing it up with the Core i9-12900K, and I enjoyed playing at both 4K and 1440p, while at the latter resolution, the card excelled comfortably. If you use DLSS, you can improve performance with negligible difference in quality while making games rich with ray tracing.
Suppose in Cyberpunk 2077, where it was not bearable playing at 4K with this card, DLSS played a crucial role in making the game more playable. As NVIDIA is ramping up its DLSS library, the worth of buying an RTX 30-series GPUs makes more sense these days, in 7 out of 15 games tested, you have the option of using DLSS.
So, if you want to play at 4K and looking for a GPU, the RTX 3070 Ti is a perfect GPU with DLSS, giving you a smooth 4K gaming experience.
Verdict
As it stands, even at the end of 2021, getting a GPU is very hard, and I mean very challenging, however, if you are ready to spend on a graphics card you will make sure it’s worth spending that amount. By the name of RTX 3080, the stocks have totally paled away and got one is just impossible for any common people.
So, as the RTX 3070 series is still available and prices have gone down slightly our advice to all you gamers will be going for the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti, as it stands, the graphics card is a very affordable 4K gaming option.
It has faster memory and horsepower to handle any load while DLSS makes 4K gaming just easier than ever, spend the extra bit of money on new 12th Gen Intel processors and get better performance with it.
