Hyderabad FC picked up a 1-0 win against Bengaluru FC in the ISL to earn all three points. Here are the three talking points from the game.
History makers
Last week, Hyderabad FC picked up their first win of the season by defeating the best team in the division, Mumbai City FC. That victory was their first ever success against the Islanders.
And now, they have their first win against Bengaluru FC as well, making another piece of history in the process.
Strong top four ambitions
Hyderabad FC are starting to emerge as strong contenders for a top four finish at the end of the season. They are currently third in the table with seven points from four games played.
Although they will have to face strong competition from other clubs in the division, their defensive performances might prove to be the cutting edge in the battle. Laxmikant Kattimani in particular, is proving to be one of the standout keepers of the season so far.
Fallen giants
Bengaluru FC have only had one win so far this season. They are not looking like their former selves, and are currently ninth with four points from as many games. Bengaluru were completely outplayed in the first half by their opponents.
While they managed to compose themselves in the second period, they were unable to find a breakthrough to salvage a point. Their search for a second win takes them to the game against Goa, while Hyderabad face off against NorthEast United.
