Qualcomm Snapdragon G3x SoC spotted in Razer’s upcoming gadget

Aside from the Snapdragon 8 Gen1, Qualcomm is anticipated to reveal a powerful Snapdragon G3x SoC, most likely in future portable gaming consoles. While the company’s Snapdragon G3x was previously rumoured to be working on such a device, specific leaked slides suggest that it might be found in a forthcoming gadget built by Razer.

The leaked slides shared by VideoCardz do not reveal the CPU cluster or GPU of the future Snapdragon G3x, but we do know that Qualcomm is working on two chipsets for various types of devices. The Snapdragon 8 Gen1 is predicted to power future Android flagship smartphones, while the Snapdragon G3x is planned to power laptops and portable gaming consoles such as one from Razer.

Razer has created a Developer Kit in partnership with Qualcomm. The aforementioned mobile gaming system has a 120Hz OLED screen that supports HDR and a big 6000mAh battery. According to unpublished slides, this handheld gaming system may be marketed as one dedicated to game streaming; however, it is unclear if it was designed for that purpose.

Qualcomm is also supposed to be working on a chipset that would allegedly compete with the M1, therefore it is unclear whether the Snapdragon G3x is that unknown silicon that we discussed before. Assuming this is the case, we may see certain Gold+ cores built to give a next-level performance, together with an NPU that can learn from your usage habits and adapt to provide the greatest battery life possible.

Unfortunately, our readers will have to wait for future updates until the embargo is removed and Qualcomm makes the news official.
