Motorola has officially launched the Moto G31 in India as scheduled. The device is the successor to the Moto G30 from earlier this year.

The Moto G31 is a new model but it is not a brand new model as it does bring any major upgrades over its predecessor apart from the OLED display.

The Moto G31 was initially unveiled alongside four other smartphones a few days back.

Let us take a look at the detailed specs of the Moto G31:

Motorola’s Moto G31 features a water-repellant polycarbonate body like other budget smartphones from Lenovo-owned Motorola.

The handset flaunts a 6.4″ OLED display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080p, 409ppi, and a refresh rate of 60Hz.

The display panel has an 88.8% screen-to-body ratio, an aspect ratio of 20:9, and a centered punch hole setup.

The Moto G31 features the MediaTek Helio G85 chipset paired with 4GB/6GB RAM options and 64GB/128GB storage options. The storage can be further expanded up to 1TB via a MicroSD card.

The device runs Android 11 OS with Lenovo ThinkShield for Mobile Security. It is eligible for a single Android update and two years of security updates.

As far as camera specs are concerned, the handset comes with a triple camera setup on the rear comprising a 50MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultrawide unit, and a 2MP macro shooter. The device has a 13MP selfie shooter.

The Moto G31 supports dual-SIM, 4G, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, GNSS(GPS-A, LTEPP, SUPL, GLONASS, GALILEO), NFC, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a USB Type-C port.

The one downside of the device is that it has only a single bottom-firing speaker powered by Dolby Atmos but features dual microphones, a dedicated Google Assistant Key, and all the essential sensors like a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, an accelerometer, proximity sensor, gyroscope, ambient light sensor, compass, and SAR sensor.

The Moto G31 has a 5,000mAh battery with support for 10W charging. The device will arrive in a Mineral Grey and a Baby Blue colorway.

Coming to the pricing and availability of the Motorola Moto G31, the 4GB RAM+64GB storage variant will retail for $173 or 12,999 INR and the 6GB+128GB storage variant will retail for $200 or 14,999 INR.

The Moto G31 will go on sale for the first time at 12 PM on the 6th of December via Flipkart.
