DDAA117 of Zhihu provides the first photographs of the non-K Alder Lake-S CPUs. This is the same leaker that released retail models of the Core i9-12900K and i5-12600K SKUs before their official release.
This time, DDAA117 may provide the world’s first images of the non-K lineup, which includes the Core i9-12900 (SRL4E), Core i5-12600 (SRL4F), Core i5-12500 (SRL4G), and Core i5-12400 (SLR4P). This range lacks the Core i7-12700 and Core i3-12300/12100 CPUs, as well as its F-variants, which lack integrated GPU capability.
Along with the images, some additional information about the series clock speeds has been confirmed. Some information was given by leaker @momomo us, while others were validated by DDAA117 himself, who provided CPU-Z images of the samples seen above.
The Core i9-12900 is a 16-core, 24-thread (8P+8E) CPU with a base clock speed of 2.4 GHz and a boost speed of up to 5.1 GHz. This CPU will feature a 30MB L3 cache. The Core i7-12700 will have half of the Efficient cores active (8P+4E), for a total of 12-cores and 20 threads. This CPU will be clocked 200 to 300 MHz slower than the 12900: 2.1 GHz base clock and 4.9 GHz peak clock. It should be noted that such frequencies only apply to Performance cores.
Finally, the Core i3 series has only been verified in part. For the time being, the Core i3-12300 remains a mystery. The core configuration has yet to be verified, although it is likely to be a quad-core CPU with no hybrid capabilities. The same may be said for the Core i3-12100, the slowest Alder Lake-S component with the ‘Core’ moniker. At the present, it is verified that the 12300 can boost to 4.4 GHz and the 12100 can boost to 4.3 GHz.
Some of the non-K Alder Lake CPUs mentioned have already been advertised by merchants. We’ve already seen a leak from a Canadian vendor, but now we have a listing from Nexus, a Bangladeshi store that claims to have those CPUs in stock. This would be the first indication that the non-K series has already arrived at shops.
Intel’s non-K series, as well as the B660 and H610 motherboards, are now slated to be released in mid-January. More information regarding this lineup should be available around CES 2022, when Intel is expected to make several announcements, including the next-generation Alder Lake-P mobile series and, ideally, its Arc Alchemist GPU series.
