Liverpool comfortably put a stop to Arsenal’s unbeaten run in the Premier League by defeating them 4-0. Despite the growing injury list, Jürgen Klopp managed to field a lineup close to what we’re used to seeing under the German. The bench, however, had a number of notable absentees.

Regardless, the result speaks for itself and the Merseysiders remain four points behind league leaders Chelsea. Trent Alexander-Arnold provided his fifth assist of the season by setting up Sadio Mane for the opener in the 39th minute.

The second half saw Diogo Jota double their lead, following an error from Nuno Tavares. The defender’s loose pass was picked up by Jota, who went around Aaron Ramsdale and fired the ball into the goal.

Mohamed Salah would join in on the event, scoring yet again in the Premier League and taking his tally to 11. Shortly after, Takumi Minamino scored the final goal of the game a minute after being subbed on. Alexander-Arnold provided his sixth league assist so far by delivering a perfect cross at the far post.

Liverpool enjoyed the majority of possession in the game, and had 9 out of 19 shots on target. Mikel Arteta’s team, on the other hand, would only manage three out of five attempts on goal.

Jürgen Klopp’s men now turn their attention to their Champions League fixture against Porto midweek. Arsenal, on the other hand, will host Newcastle United next weekend in the Premier League.
