FC Goa Team Profile
The Gaurs have established themselves as one of the most consistent teams in the ISL. They have qualified for the playoffs for the last four seasons. Moreover, they were the winners of the first League Winners’ Shield.
The fact that they have made little changes to their squad can be seen in two different ways. While they have not added any new players to improve the team, they have not lost many significant names either.
As a result, the balance in the lineup is maintained, which was present last season as well. The work done under coach Juan Ferrando has been remarkable, especially with their Durand Cup victory.
Captain Edu Bedia, Dheeraj Singh and Jorge Ortiz will be the key players for FC Goa this season. Juan Ferrando will also have to manage the four-foreigners rule and tinker with the lineup accordingly. The balance between attack and defense needs to be maintained if Goa are to win the title this time around.
