The winter transfer window is just over a month away. Players having six months or under in their contract will be able to negotiate a pre-contract agreement with foreign clubs to join as free agents. There are a number of top players that could depart as free agents. But, here are six underrated players that could also make the switch for nothing at the end of the season.
5. Corentin Tolisso – Bayern Munich
The French midfielder has not been fantastic for Bayern Munich for the last few years. He has not been able to break into the first team ahead of Kimmich and Goretzka either. So, he could move on for more regular first team opportunities soon.
4. Noussair Mazraoui – Ajax
The Ajax right-back has been making a name for himself recently, with great performances in the Eredivisie. He has four goals and two assists from 11 games in the Dutch league. And he will be available for free next summer if clubs want to recruit the player.
3. Boubacar Kamara – Marseille
Kamara is a defensive midfielder that has attracted the interested of several top clubs across Europe. The Marseille academy graduate can play as a centre-back as well, and could be a great recruit.
2. Ivan Perisic – Inter Milan
Although Inter are discussing a new deal with Perisic, the Croatia international will be available as a free agent next summer. He has been remarkable for the past few seasons and is very versatile, being able to play as a wing-back or winger. So, he could certainly add a lot to any teams. But, it remains a doubt whether Inter will let him go for free.
1. Denis Zakaria – Borussia Monchengladbach
The Swiss midfielder has attracted attention from a number of top clubs such as Roma, Juventus and Premier League clubs. He is a defensive minded player and seems cut out for the Premier League. So, he could be a massive free agent signing next summer.
