India’s match against Namibia brought an end to India’s participation in the tournament (for this edition) and Virat Kohli’s captaincy career. Captain Kohli, for the last time led the Indian team in the shortest international format, T20 World Cup. The Indian team could not make it to the semifinals but King Kohli definitely made his mark as a captain.

Virat Kohli in his last toss said ” It’s been an honour to captain India and I’ve done my best. The shortest format has to give way to the longest format. I’ve been grateful for the opportunity. It’s time for the next lot to take the team forward. Rohit has been looking on anyway, and Indian cricket is in good hands.”
