Is Apple being bossy? Fires another employee who tries to speak out

The Cupertino giant is known to be one of the best companies to work, according to some of the best insightful studies and surveys; however, Apple’s is seeing a silent protest from within. It’s not a very new phenomenon as previously, employees from Google and other tech giants have been vocal about the unrest inside the company.

Apple has recently fired Janneke Parrish, one who helped lead the movement to encourage workers to share their concerns about the tech giant. It has been reported by Bloomberg that Janneke, who worked as a program manager for Apple’s Maps service from the Austin, Texas, is no longer working for Apple.

Originally, Parrish was fired from the company after she removed apps and files from her work devices during an internal probe, according to The Verge report. Obviously, there were meetings, internal investigations which were spurred because of the former employee speaking to the media ultimately led to the investigation.

Parrish was also responsible to lead the #AppleToo movement, which in turn, made other Apple employees becoming vocal about the inconsistent pay, a lack of transparency and other workplace issues. She even tweeted TheVerge story on her firing from the company saying, “There are consequences for speaking out. There are consequences for doing the right thing.”

Even though she started the #AppleToo movement to ask Apple to be better, to reform its systemic discrimination, abuse and pay inequity, however, the Cupertino giant looks to be strict with its policies.

What do you feel about the #AppleToo movement and was it morally correct for Apple to fire its employee for this? Let us know in the comments down below…
