Liverpool are getting themselves in position to finalise the transfer of Wolves star Adama Traore, with the player keen on a move to a top club.
A few years ago, he was being linked with the likes of Chelsea and Manchester City but a transfer did not materialise. Liverpool are now the prime candidates to get his signature and it seems like Adama Traore wants the switch as well.
Diogo Jota, his former Wolves teammate, has been performing very well under Jürgen Klopp, and Traore could find himself improving under the German manager as well. He is one of the fastest and strongest players in the Premier League, and will be a valuable addition to the team if the transfer is completed.
But despite his physical prowess, Traore lacks an end product which has earned him a lot of criticism. The player is yet to score this season despite being able to complete the highest number of take-ons in all of the elite European leagues.
Traore has a contract with Wolves until 2023 and is currently valued at €30 million on Transfermarkt. Liverpool will have to pay a fee around that amount for him if they want to sign him next summer, or will have to find a way to negotiate a lower price. Given the fact that the 25-year-old will only have one year remaining on his contract next summer, Liverpool will be in the better position to negotiate.Â
