MSI has just announced today its free upgrade kit for Intel LGA1700 CPUs and their Coreliquid CPU coolers. However, in the recently held press release the company did not mention any dates, but the form, which must be used to apply for a free upgrade kit, is announced to be made available on November 4th.
Now this date and announcement have made many on the internet curious however some keen eyes users were quick enough to confirm that Intel’s Alder Lake-S will be available on November 4th. This date is attached to the sales and review embargo.
Usman Pirzada from Wccftech has informed us that the preorders will be going live a week sooner and right after the Intel Innovation event.
Intel Alder Lake-S embargoes are then as follows:
- October 27th: Announcement and preorders
- November 4th: Sales and reviews (product launch)
November 4th is a bit sooner than previously rumoured November 19th, which was expected to be the previous launch date. Either Intel decided to launch Alder Lake CPUs sooner or the originally rumoured date was incorrect, remains unknown.
Interestingly, this date is attached to CPU embargoes, and we still don’t have any information about when the compatible motherboards for the CPU will go on sale. However, likely, they will either already be available or the same date applies to Z690 motherboards as well.
