Realme GT Neo2 with Snapdragon 870 and upto 12GB RAM launched in China

Realme GT Neo2 is now official. Realme has expanded its smartphone lineup with the launch of Realme GT Neo2 smartphone in China. It comes as a successor to the Realme GT Neo smartphone. The phone retains a similar design, with a punch-hole camera, and a triple rear camera system. It also retains an in-display fingerprint sensor. So let’s have a look at the specifications of the Smartphone.

The Realme GT Neo 2 features a 6.62-inch Samsung E4 AMOLED panel that offers Full HD+ resolution of 1,080 x 2,400 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, 600Hz touch sampling rate, 1300 nits brightness, and DC dimming.

The Snapdragon 870 mobile platform is present under the hood of the device. It offers up to 12GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. It is backed by a 5,000mAh battery that supports 65W fast charging. Realme claims that the GT Neo 2 can charge completely in just 36 minutes. It features the industry’s first aerospace-grade diamond gel heat dissipation system.

In terms of optics, Realme GT Neo 2 packs a triple camera setup on the back. It includes a 64-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens with 120-degree FoV, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor for portrait shots. There is a 16-megapixel snapper on the front for selfies and video chats and an in-display fingerprint sensor for security.

It runs Realme UI 3.0 based on Android 11. The GT Neo 2 offers other features such as dual-SIM with 5G support, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, dual-frequency GPS, NFC, a USB Type-C port, an in-screen fingerprint scanner, X-axis linear motor, and ultra-linear dual speakers with Dolby Atmos Games support. It lacks a 3.5mm audio jack.

Realme GT Neo2 Pricing and Availability

Realme GT Neo 2 price has been set at CNY 2,499 (roughly Rs. 28,500) for the base 8GB + 128GB storage variant. The phone also comes in an 8GB + 256GB storage configuration that is priced at CNY 2,699 (roughly Rs. 30,800) and the top-of-the-line 12GB + 256GB storage model at CNY 2,999 (roughly Rs. 34,200).

All these variants of Realme GT Neo 2 will be available for purchase in China starting September 27 in Neo Green, Pale Blue, and Shadow Black colours. Realme will offer a discount of CNY 100 (roughly Rs. 1,100) for customers purchasing the smartphone on its first day of sale. Moreover, Realme GT Neo 2 is promised to launch in global markets soon — no date has been announced yet.
