Recent report from 9to5Google says Google is adding a 5TB storage option with the charge of $24.99/month. It will reflect on the Google One application between the existing 2TB and 10TB storage plans. You may know, Google has yearly payment options as well for its services. A user needs to pay $249.99 a year for this new plan, a 17% discount over the monthly payment.
The 5TB storage plan includes all the benefits of the 2TB plan along with 10% back on Google Store purchases, family sharing, faster access to Google support, and a VPN for Android smartphones.
A poll conducted by the search engine giant in June reveals that most users are availing of any of the two plans – $1.99/month for 100GB storage and $2.99/month for 200GB storage.
Those who need a bit more space than 2TB ($9.99/month) had the only option for the 10TB plan that costs $49.99/month. This price jump is huge and, in some cases, out of reach. So, if you are this kind of user, enjoy the new 5TB storage plan.
