AMD’s RDNA2 powered Cyrptomining card surfaces online on a Vietnamese Facebook page

According to recent sources, AMDs RDNA2 Navi GPUs will soon be entering the mining segment as the chip makers’ latest dedicated cryptocurrency miner. According to reports, the pictures of these alleged AMD mining graphics cards surfaced online first on a Vietnamese Facebook page run by a local PC hardware outlet.

From what we know this mining card will be powered by an AMD GPU and the GPU will reportedly be based on RDNA 2 architecture as no other recent AMD graphics card has used a similar cap configuration on the back as the one on this particular variant.

The chip is reported to be using a Navi 21 GPU meaning that AMD will be allocating some of their RDNA 2 supply to the crypto segment. This card packs a dual-slot design and doesn’t feature any active cooling solution, all we get is a standard heatsink shroud made using plastic featuring a large aluminum heatsink underneath.

The design of the supposed AMD mining graphics card is a full-length backplate, and we will get two 8-pin power connectors which make it confirm that the card will be a Navi 21 variant since Navi 22 based offerings don’t require dual 8-pin connectors to boot.

AMD will be reportedly optimizing its RDNA 2 GPUs for mining after the RX 6600 XT showed its strength, however, we still have no confirmation as to whether this is the case. The original post owner did announce that the information such as mining performance and pricing of these alleged AMD mining cards will be announced later.

For more information stay tuned.
