Xbox Cloud Gaming

Finally, the Cloud gaming concept is coming to Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and Xbox One this holiday season. And the owners of the Game Pass Ultimate will be able to stream over 100 games on their consoles without needing to download any of them.

The original announcement regarding Cloud gaming was done during the Gamescom Xbox Stream 2021. this move will allow Xbox to make their games available on almost all devices, allowing all compatible Game Pass games to be streamed without downloading or waiting for installs.

However, the most exciting effect that cloud gaming will bring to the table is not just the ability to play games without downloading, but the effect that it has on last-gen games.

With Xbox Cloud Gaming server blades on the last-gen games, now upgraded to Series X hardware, which is a solid enough internet connection allows users to play Xbox Series exclusives on Xbox One, or Series X-quality games on a less powerful Series S.

Playing games of the cloud is currently less stable compared to playing them off a hard drive. However, now that Microsoft Studios games are being added to Game Pass with cloud functionality, this will bring about away who don’t own an Xbox Series console to play their titles and get invested in the newest releases.

Xbox launched its Cloud gaming back in June and we already had an idea that it was planned to release the console games on the cloud. The next steps could be even more interesting – Microsoft now wants to build the “Xbox Experience” into TVs and streaming sticks, and Phil Spencer hasn’t given up on bringing it to competing consoles too.

As to whether Cloud gaming will become a more attractive option for gamers with access to high-speed internet, remains to be seen. For more information stay tuned.
