Cristiano Ronaldo, the Juventus superstar, is said to be exploring a stunning move to Manchester City before the end of the summer. The Portugal international has been at Juve for three years, but L’Equipe reports that he has explored a move to the Etihad Stadium with international team-mates Joao Cancelo and Ruben Dias.

Ronaldo would be an excellent addition to City, and it appears that his representatives have already begun to pursue a move to Manchester. However, because of Ronaldo’s ties to City’s rivals Manchester United, where he had great success earlier in his career, this would be highly contentious.

As per L’Equipe, Ronaldo is presently pursuing a move to the Premier League, with the Portuguese hoping to join Pep Guardiola’s team later this month. According to the French publication, Ronaldo is attempting to set up the proper conditions for a move, which may include a swap deal involving Portugal teammate Bernardo Silva or defender Aymeric Laporte.

Thus, a deal might be reached as soon as this weekend, which would be a major coup given Ronaldo’s close ties to Manchester United supporters. The latest development comes after PSG’s owner’s brother tweeted a cryptic message hinting a summer move for Ronaldo.

Khalifa Bin Hamad Al-Thani released crucial information about Lionel Messi’s free transfer to Paris Saint-Germain from Barcelona, as well as a photoshopped picture of Messi and Ronaldo in PSG uniforms with the comment “Maybe?”

City, on the other hand, is in desperate need of a top goal scorer after losing Sergio Aguero this summer and with a deal for Tottenham striker Harry Kane looking increasingly unlikely. Spurs striker Harry Kane is trying to push a move, but City’s £100 million offer hasn’t swayed Daniel Levy. Kane’s contract has three years left on it, and Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino wants roughly £150 million for his prized asset.

Spurs have stated that their star player is not for sale, and Ronaldo would be an excellent replacement. Even at the age of 36, the former Real Madrid striker is still a deadly finisher, having scored 101 goals in 134 games for Juventus.
