According to several reports from Spain and France, Paris Saint-Germain has received an official bid from Real Madrid for Kylian Mbappe in the last hours.
Los Blancos have managed to table a €160 million offer for the French striker, but PSG has not yet accepted the bid formally as of yet. Several contradicting reports say that they are yet to respond or have straight-up rejected the offer. However, the common fact is that PSG has not accepted the bid as of yet.
Mbappe was offered a contract extension several times in the last few months, and even though the management wanted to keep him at the club, he doesn’t see Ligue 1 as a top championship. He has publicly stated that he dreams of playing for Real Madrid.
The player could leave and travel to Spain for a fee this year or play out another season for Paris and join Real Madrid next summer as a free agent. His ambition to wear the white jersey is why he does not commit to a future at PSG any longer than needed.
There are no English clubs in the race for the player, although any team in Europe would be keeping an eye out for the striker if he is available for a decent fee. But since he is motivated to play for Madrid only, Florentino Perez has the edge over every other club to get Mbappe’s signature on the dotted line.
