Juventus and Sassuolo are expected to reach an agreement regarding the transfer of Manuel Locatelli soon, with the Bianconeri bidding around €35 million for his services.
Locatelli was initially part of the AC Milan squad, but could not make it into the first team. He is now an integral part of the Sassuolo squad and has his heart set on a move to Turin this summer, as confirmed by the CEO of Sassuolo.
The final details regarding the offer presented by Juventus are yet to be sorted out. However, the black and white club want to complete the signing of Locatelli this week itself, before the Serie A campaign begins.
Arsenal were rumoured to be interested in his services alongside potentially Liverpool. But, both the clubs are now out of the race for the player since he only wants to move to Juventus. Personal terms have never been a problem and only an agreement between the two clubs is needed for the deal to be completed.
The Sassuolo midfielder was one of the key performers in the initial stages of Italy’s successful Euro 2020 campaign. Although, he was replaced in the starting line-up by Marco Verratti once the PSG player returned from injury. But despite his display for Italy, Juventus remain most impressed by his performances for Sassuolo every week.
Locatelli has been a long term target for Juventus, and could make his debut for them as soon as this weekend once the deal is finalised this week.
