According to the weekly updates, the latest season was eventually start to their filming in August 2020 but it did not happen in the later of September 2020. The production of this series also has been stopped once for the COVID-19 outbreaks.

It has been informed that episode 1 will release in between January and early April 2021 but after that, it has taken a three months hiatus.

Riverdale(Season 5): Release date on Netflix US

It is assuming that the US viewers have to wait longer for season 5. In May 2020 season, 4 arrived on Netflix after a week of its final season. Now the release has been pushed back for three months and it is now expected that the latest series will drop on Netflix US within August or October 2021.

It is predicted that the first half could arrive early but we have to wait for the full season before it comes on Netflix.
