Samsung has crafted the Watch 4 series for health-conscious people and as a result, has integrated an array of sensors into it. The Watch 4 Series has an entirely redesigned 3 in 1 sensor, a bioactive sensor on the rear measures PPG, a technique that detects volume and blood flow, it also measures ECG or heart rhythm, and BIA, a method that assists in the calculation of body composition.

The bioactive sensor reads all the three health parameters, it gathers information from the electrodes for ECG and body composition in the silver rim around the scanner and on the two side-mounted keys. Now, the feature is more streamlined without compromising its performance.

Due to the One UI Watch being based on WearOS, the wearables can track more than 100 different fitness activities and some of them can be extended to Samsung TV as well such as Yoga or aerobics.

Sleep management is also improved in the Galaxy Watch 4 and the Watch 4 Classic, they have snoring detection, continuous blood, and oxygen tracking while sleeping. Day-to-day experience now offers Samsung apps and even core Google apps. There are also some third-party platforms that run smoothly on the watch.

One UI Watch can now sync DND mode, blocked callers, and alarms directly from your phone. If an installed app is compatible with the watch, Samsung automatically installs it on the wearable as well.

The wearables also provide support for several gestures, a nod wrist to confirm the call, shake your wrist to dismiss the call or a knock-knock motion for a predefined feature.

The watches are powered by the Exynos W920, Samsung’s latest 5nm chipset, developed for wearables exclusively. It brings a 4G LTE Cat 4 modem and has a dedicated core for Always-On Display. Both the watches have 1.5GB RAM and 16GB of storage.

The battery capacity of the Watch 4 Series is 361mAh for the bigger variants and 247mAh for the smaller variants. It can offer up to 40 hours on a single charge while recharging the battery from 0 to 100 takes under two hours.

The Galaxy Watch 4 comes in Black and Silver color variants, the 44mm has an exclusive Green color while the smaller 40mm can also be purchased in Pink Gold. The starting price of the devices is $249(18,600 INR) for the Bluetooth-only variant while the LTE model starts at $299(22,300 INR) for the Watch 4.

The Watch 4 Classic retails from $349(26,000 INR) to $399(29,700 INR). It comes in Black, Green, and Silver color options. Both the watches will be available from August 27. The Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 series will be available soon in India via Amazon.
