Internet is filled with leaks and rumors and the upcoming intel’s 12th generation Alder Lake Processor lineup is no stranger to these leaks and rumors. According to the latest sources, and Bilibili forum user has allegedly shared images of a model which, the user claims to be of a high-end Z690 motherboard for Intel’s forthcoming 12th Generation processor.
This is the first look a the new LGA1700 socket which will reportedly house at least two generations (Alder Lake and Raptor Lake) of Intel processors. The manufacturer of the motherboard is unknown, but from the looks of it, the board feels pretty high-end.
The leaked prototype has 20 power phases which means that the Z690 motherboard will be oriented towards overclockers and enthusiasts. However, since it’s a prototype, we can see a lot of components missing such as the latching mechanism, the 8-pin EPS power connectors, and also fan headers.
If the news is indeed true then we can soon expect the motherboard that will house Intel’s Alder Lake K-series SKUs, coming to the market pretty soon. The processor series includes the Core i9-12900K, Core i7-12700K, and Core i5-12600K which have been rumored to feature a 228W PL2.
The motherboard prototype is indeed true then it will have one PCIe x16 expansion slot and up to three M.2 slots which are awesome. We have already heard rumors that Alder Lake will also be the PCIe 5.0 standard so overall I am pretty excited to see the processor in action.
And the most important thing I am waiting for is to see the pairing of Intel’s Alder Lake along with its new and upcoming DG2 Xe-HPG discrete graphics card in action. Let’s wait and watch how the events unfold. According to the latest rumors Intel plans to release the K-and KF-series chips and the corresponding Z690 chipset between October 25 and November 19. so let’s wait and watch.
