The recent actions were taken by the OTT giant Netflix have made it all but clear that the service that started as a door-to-door video CD seller, will now be entering the vast world of gaming. The company recently hired Mike Verdu, a veteran of EA, Zynga, and Oculus, and he will be heading its gaming division.

According to sources, Netflix is gearing to offer videos games to its subscribers as early as next year. and we can expect some amazing reception from the company because it’s partnered with none other than – PlayStation.

Rumor is going around the internet, which states that data miner Steve Moser has found several interesting files within the Netflix iOS app. The files are, a logo for “N Game,” a shark fin icon (Netflix’s gaming imitative is said to be codenamed “Shark”), and…images of the PS5’s DualSense controller and Ghost of Tsushima.

These leaks could mean something or it could mean nothing. As for the fact that the company is teaming up with PlayStation the leaked images in the Tweet give it away if at all it’s true. Teaming up with the biggest streaming platform in the world will be potentially a great deal for Sony to immediately set a much bigger competition for its rivals Xbox Game Pass.

However, it’s not hard to believe that Netflix and Sony would partner with each other. As the streaming service has the first streaming rights to all Sony Pictures films, including the upcoming Uncharted movie.

For now, it’s unclear as to how the streaming service plans to deliver games to its subscribers, many believe that it will simply offer downloads rather than full-on game streaming. However, if it does this, then it will be a hard time for Sony to compete with Xbox Game Pass. Let’s wait and see.
