Xiaomi's Mi Smartphones help to capture a 14% market share in Rs.20-45K price segment

Xiaomi is now eyeing the premium smartphone segment with its Mi lineup and its Mi 10 as well as Mi 11 series are rocking the market already. In our previous report, we talked about how Xiaomi’s Mi Phones are enjoying huge success in India, it is clear that the company is eyeing the affordable premium as well as the flagship smartphone lineup.

Again to prove that, Manu Kumar Jain, Global VP of Xiaomi and Managing Director of Xiaomi India, again used his Twitter to showcase huge record the Mi brand smartphones made. The Mi brand is enjoying great growth in India now, becoming the fastest-growing Premium Smartphone Brand.

Xiaomi now owns 14% market share in the Rs.20-45K price segment which is a huge deal because previously Xiaomi mainly relied on the budget Redmi phones. However, from last year, the Chinese smartphone giant also started focussing on the premium smartphone market and its results are clearly reflected as per the data.

They separated the Redmi and Xiaomi brand, Redmi defined for budget devices while Mi series for more premium end. From Mi 10i to the Mi 10T, the 10 series was quite good for Xiaomi at the start of 2021 and with Mi 11 series, they have again created a new milestone.
