Bachelor Party D’eux Trailer: Naslen, Tovino and Kunchacko Boban Return to Kochi’s Backstreets

The sequel to a Malayalam cult favourite has finally shown its hand. The trailer for Bachelor Party D’eux is out, and it brings a stylish, high-voltage standoff led by Naslen, Tovino Thomas and Kunchacko Boban. The catch is that the release date is now a mystery. Here’s everything we know.

Bachelor Party D’eux : Overview

What the Trailer Shows?

The 2-minute-11-second trailer returns to the backstreets of Kochi. It introduces a fresh motley crew who cross paths with a suave, stylish antagonist, setting up a run of intense confrontations and action-packed moments. The film was initially slated for November 19, 2026, but the makers have kept the exact release date under wraps for now. That uncertainty is worth flagging if you were planning a theatre trip.

Strong Visuals, Mixed First Impressions

One early review of the trailer praises its visual quality and slick editing, but also notes it doesn’t develop into anything fresh enough to create real cinematic euphoria. Christo Xavier’s music accompanies the footage, and the film’s overall essence is still unrevealed. The big question is whether it can live up to the cult impact of the original. For now, it’s a stylish teaser with plenty left to prove. Looking for more to watch? Browse our Malayalam cinema news and movie updates.

The Cast Beyond the Leads

Alongside Naslen, Tovino Thomas and Kunchacko Boban, the film features Soubin Shahir, Sreenath Bhasi, Shine Tom Chacko, Sharaf U Dheen, Rajisha Vijayan, Hansika Krishna, Jyothirmayi, Nadia Moidu and Paris Laxmi in key roles. That’s a deep bench of popular Malayalam talent, which alone gives the sequel strong star power.

A Quick Recap of the 2012 Original

Directed by Amal Neerad, the original Bachelor Party follows Tony, a man who has left a troubled past behind for a peaceful life with his wife and newborn child. When an old rival resurfaces, his childhood friends reunite to protect him. After Tony’s tragic death, they vow to protect his family, leading to a risky mission involving a large currency consignment and one final showdown. It starred Asif Ali, Rahman, Kalabhavan Mani, Indrajith Sukumaran, Vinayakan and Nithya Menen, with a cameo by Prithviraj Sukumaran. Reviews were mixed, but it became a commercial success and a cult favourite. It’s also said to have been partially inspired by the 2005 film Sin City.
