Netflix is stepping onto the IMAX stage for the first time, and the film is a big one. The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth is directed by David Fincher from a Quentin Tarantino script, and it follows Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

The film opens in IMAX on November 25, 2026 for an exclusive two-week run. It then arrives on Netflix on December 23, 2026. The official site currently lists 523 venues across roughly 55 countries and territories.

Who’s Screening It, and Who Isn’t?

AMC is the backbone of the rollout, covering 187 venues, nearly all of them in the US. Beyond that, the film leans on local operators, including ODEON in the UK, Cineplex in Canada and several Japanese chains.

Two big American names are sitting this one out. Regal and Cinemark passed, and Regal pointed to shortened theatrical windows as a factor. IMAX joined the release late and let chains opt out, so The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping likely benefits.

The “Global” Release Has Gaps

Japan is the surprise, with nearly triple the UK’s venue count. Indonesia and Malaysia also outrank Germany. Meanwhile, several major markets have no listed venues right now:

Asia-Pacific: Australia, China, India, South Korea, New Zealand, Thailand
Europe: France, Austria, Denmark, Turkey, Russia
Others: Chile, Colombia, Peru, Israel

Some, like Australia and Thailand, appear in the site’s location settings, so venues could still be added. France, India and South Korea don’t appear there at all. If you’re in India like many of our readers, that means the Netflix premiere may be your first chance to watch.

Can You Buy Tickets Yet?

Not really. Nearly every venue still shows “Coming Soon.” As of November 2, only four were selling tickets: the TCL Chinese Theatre, the New Beverly, the Vista and one AMC location in Indiana. Tarantino fans can also look out for a few 35mm screenings at smaller theaters.
