The Host Is Back: Vijay Sethupathi Returns to Bigg Boss Tamil 10

Weekend episodes of Bigg Boss feel different when the host is missing. Last week, Vijay Sethupathi stepped away from Bigg Boss Tamil 10, and now a fresh promo confirms he’s back on the stage. Housemates, brace yourselves.

Vijay Sethupathi returns in his trademark style, asking viewers to tell the contestants he’s back just as he left. He also notes how much the house has changed since his last visit, especially the relationships between contestants.

Bigg Boss Tamil 10: Overview

Why His Return Matters?

Vijay didn’t just say hello in the promo. He pointed to the arguments and confrontations in the house and asked contestants who call others fools or idiots to consider what that says about themselves. It sounds like he may take up unresolved issues with the housemates in the weekend episode.

The Break, Explained

According to reports, Vijay took a break because of a throat infection. Online reports also suggested he had strained his voice while dubbing for Pocket Novel. Ramya Krishnan stepped in as guest host for the weekend episodes. It was her second stint as host, after Season 5, when Kamal Haasan stepped away briefly.

What’s Next for Vijay Sethupathi

He’s busy outside the Bigg Boss house too. He was recently seen in the comedy-drama Baththa and has a cameo in Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2. His upcoming projects include:

• Train, slated for release on December 4, 2026
• Slum Dog: 33 Temple Road, directed by Puri Jagannadh
• Inji Vellam, directed by Mani Ratnam
• Pocket Novel, which has completed filming
