Oppo’s sub-brand OnePlus is currently working on their next flagship device, the OnePlus 9T. A tipster had recently claimed that OnePlus will not be launching the OnePlus 9T Pro along with the OnePlus 9T. New information has emerged now that hints at the OnePlus 9T featuring ColorOS 11.
OnePlus 9T 5G will be coming out in Q3 of 2021 and the highlight of the device will be the 108MP Hasselblad quad-camera setup. The tipster claims that OnePlus will not be releasing a Pro model for the 9T.
The OnePlus 9T may arrive with ColorOS 11 in China, but it is still unknown if the global release will feature this as well, so take this information with a grain of salt.
A recent leak had claimed that the OnePlus 9T will sport an LTPO Samsung E4 flexible AMOLED screen that will offer Full HD+ resolution with a 120Hz refresh rate. Qualcomm recently announced that the Snapdragon 888+ chipset will offer many faster-clocking speeds in comparison to the Snapdragon 888. The Snapdragon 888+ will be used by ROG, Honor, Motorola, Vivo, and Xiaomi in the future. It is notable to see that OnePlus did not make this list which means in all probability it will feature the Snapdragon 888 SoC for the 9T.
The previous OnePlus model, the OnePlus 8T was announced in October of 2020, so we can expect the same to happen for the OnePlus 9T. Since the ideal launch timeline is Q3 of 2021, we may get more information about the flagship in September.
For now, OnePlus is gearing up to launch the Nord 2, reports suggest it may arrive as early as this month. The Nord 2 is expected to come with a 6.43″ FHD+ AMOLED display that offers a 90Hz refresh rate, a 32MP selfie camera, and a triple-camera setup on the rear with a 50MP main sensor and an 8MP+2MP macro and depth sensors. The Nord 2 is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset with 12GB RAM and 256GB of storage. It will run on OxygenOS 11 and will have a 4,500mAh battery with support for Warp Charge 30T charging.
