What the upgrades add up to
Apple’s configurator shows the price change for most options, but not the full price of each one. The storage, display and software figures are useful for reading the total. Going from 2TB to 16TB adds ₹8,40,000 to the price, which is the single largest upgrade in this build. Nano-texture glass adds ₹18,000 over the standard display. The 40-core GPU costs ₹44,000 more than the 32-core option, and it also requires the 48GB memory upgrade. Final Cut Pro and Logic Pro together add ₹49,800 if both are pre-installed. Apple’s page does not split out the memory upgrade on its own, so that cost is included in the total.
What it could cost per month
For buyers who prefer to pay in instalments, Apple’s page lists the configuration at ₹1,68,986 per month, with an instant cashback offer and EMI at the standard rate. The page also shows No Cost EMI on eligible cards. Apple’s India offer runs from October 11 to November 11, 2026, and it is subject to card eligibility. Check the terms before you choose a payment plan, because the monthly figure depends on the card and the tenure. Equated monthly instalments are explained on the EMI Wikipedia page.
Is it worth it?
The 16TB and 128GB options are for professionals who work with very large video, 3D and AI workloads, and who want to keep local storage fully loaded. Storage is the most expensive part of this build by far. Buyers who need less can drop to 2TB and save ₹8,40,000, or 4TB and save ₹7,20,000. The M5 Max’s 40-core GPU and 128GB of memory are the next-largest costs, and most creators will be able to meet their needs with a smaller configuration. The top model is the right choice only for work that needs that much space and performance.
Before you buy
AppleCare+ is available for ₹59,900, inclusive of taxes, and covers accidental damage repairs and priority access to Apple experts. Apple’s configurator also includes the price of pre-installed Final Cut Pro and Logic Pro, which are optional. Prices, offers and delivery dates can change, so check the Apple India MacBook Pro page before you order. Solid-state storage is explained on the solid-state drive Wikipedia page.
