Netflix This Week (Oct 19-25, 2026): Gladiator II, Lupin 4 & More

Be honest: how many “I’ll watch it later” titles are sitting in your list right now? Netflix is about to make that pile much taller. From October 19 to 25, 2026, the platform is rolling out an anime sequel, a Hollywood epic and a French heist favourite, plus plenty of comfort-watch filler. Here’s what’s worth your evenings, based on the weekly rundown from What’s on Netflix.

Netflix Big Three Releases

Title	Type	Release Day	Why Watch
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2	Anime (Original)	Tue, Oct 20	Fresh cast, Night City is back
Gladiator II (2024)	Movie	Wed, Oct 21	Paul Mescal, Pedro Pascal, Denzel Washington
Lupin Part 4	Series (Original)	Fri, Oct 23	Omar Sy returns as Assane Diop

Let’s break each one down.

1. Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 (Tuesday, October 20)

Night City is open for business again. The first series became a cult favourite, and this follow-up reportedly earned a rare 5/5 from What’s on Netflix’s reviewer.

There’s a new director, Kai Ikarashi, and an entirely new cast. The story is told through Roman, a 12-year-old aspiring filmmaker who records the chaos around him on a grainy, ’90s-style camera. He’s surrounded by a vengeance-seeking Nomad and mercenaries battling cyberpsychosis. It’s neon, violent and surprisingly emotional, and the soundtrack reportedly features The Cure.

Best for: anime fans, sci-fi lovers and anyone who wants a story with a heart under all the chrome.

2. Gladiator II (Wednesday, October 21)

Are you not entertained? Ridley Scott’s return to ancient Rome finally lands on Netflix. A grown-up Lucius (Paul Mescal) is dragged into the Colosseum after his home is conquered, and has to fight for his life and the empire’s future. Pedro Pascal and Joseph Quinn co-star, and Denzel Washington steals scenes. You can read the background on the film at Wikipedia.

The original Gladiator (2000) with Russell Crowe arrives the same day. That makes it an easy double-feature weekend: watch the original first, then the sequel.

Best for: epic-movie nights and anyone who loves a revenge story.

3. Lupin Part 4 (Friday, October 23)

The gentleman thief is back. After the twists of Part 3, Omar Sy’s Assane Diop returns to face his most dangerous adversaries yet. Expect clever disguises, daring robberies and the kind of tension that makes you check the clock at 2 a.m. and say “one more episode.”

Best for: heist fans and anyone who enjoys a charming rogue.
