Primebook, an Indian deeptech company, has officially launched its third-generation laptop lineup with the Primebook 3 Max. The new device integrates the MediaTek Genio 720 processor and 8GB LPDDR5 RAM, claiming up to 40% higher performance compared to its predecessor. This release marks an extension of Primebook’s partnership with MediaTek and introduces enhanced hardware alongside an expanded PrimeOS ecosystem.

The Primebook 3 Max is manufactured and assembled in India through a collaboration with the tech-led manufacturing platform Zetwerk. It is available at a starting price of ₹35,990 across major e-commerce platforms and Primebook’s direct-to-consumer store.

Primebook : Hardware Specifications and Performance

At the core of the Primebook 3 Max (https://www.primebook.in/) is the MediaTek Genio 720, an octa-core processor configured with two A78 cores clocked at up to 2.6GHz and six A55 cores at up to 2.0GHz. The processor incorporates a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU operating at 1.1GHz and an integrated NPU for on-device AI workloads. Paired with 8GB LPDDR5 RAM, this configuration represents an upgrade from the LPDDR4X memory used in the previous generation.

CK Wang, VP and General Manager, IOT BU, MediaTek, stated, “The MediaTek Genio 720 brings on-device AI to a more accessible laptop segment. Built on 6nm process technology, its 8th-generation MediaTek NPU delivers up to 10 TOPS, supporting functionalities from speech recognition to on-device generative AI and large language models.”

Chitranshu Mahant, Co-founder and CEO of Primebook, emphasized the company’s approach: “We have consistently aimed for hardware and PrimeOS to be developed in sync to optimize performance, power efficiency, and overall user experience. Our collaboration with MediaTek is central to this strategy, and we anticipate the Genio 720 combined with PrimeOS will deliver a distinct value proposition.”

Expanded PrimeOS Ecosystem

The Primebook 3 Max operates on an expanded PrimeOS experience, offering capabilities beyond typical Android-based laptop use.

PrimeOffice: This proprietary, offline-first productivity suite includes PrimeDocs, PrimeSheets, and PrimePresent, providing over 90% of the functionality found in Microsoft Office. The suite is designed with a streamlined interface.
Linux Integration: PrimeOS offers native access to select Linux applications and a Linux terminal. This functionality supports tools such as VS Code, GIMP, LibreOffice, Firefox, and Arduino IDE, extending the laptop’s utility for engineers and developers.
Device Health Management: Built-in features like PrimeSecurity scan for potentially harmful or non-authentic applications, while Task Manager provides visibility into CPU and RAM usage, allowing users to manage startup applications and background processes.
AI and Cloud Services: The laptop includes PrimeAGNT (Operator AI), a patent-published AI agent designed to understand user goals and autonomously execute tasks across applications. The underlying “System and Method for Autonomously Controlling Application Interactions on Computing Devices” was published by the Indian Patent Office in August 2026. PrimeOS also integrates PrimeX Cloud PC as a value-added service.
