Bridgerton Season 6 Scripts Are Underway: Eloise’s Love Story Is Coming

Season 5 hasn’t even wrapped filming, and the writers are already working on Season 6. A fresh behind-the-scenes peek suggests Eloise Bridgerton’s long-awaited romance is firmly on the way.

The Writers’ Room Leak

Fiona Kida, a writers’ assistant on the show, shared a “day in the life” video on TikTok, since deleted but reposted on X. She said the team had started on Eloise’s next season and was re-reading the books to see where characters were left off. She described the early “blue sky” phase, when everyone pitches big ideas, as really fun. Netflix hasn’t officially named the lead, but showrunner Jess Brownell has strongly hinted at Eloise.

Bridgerton Seasons 5 and 6 : Overview

Who Is Sir Phillip Crane?

In Julia Quinn’s novel, Eloise sends condolences after Marina Thompson’s death and ends up exchanging letters with Sir Phillip for over a year. She then travels to his secluded Gloucestershire estate, a decision that changes her life. She finds a moody widower with two unruly children. Chris Fulton briefly played the character in the early seasons, though his return isn’t confirmed.

Will Season 5 Set It Up?

Season 5 adapts Francesca’s story, which skips ahead of Eloise’s in book order. Season 4 laid the groundwork for Francesca’s arc, so fans expect Season 5 to seed the Eloise and Phillip letters. That’s a popular theory, not a confirmed one. To learn more about the series and its source novels, see the Bridgerton Wikipedia page.
