Since we know that Google and Samsung have entered into a partnership to manufacture a new Watch OS interface for their upcoming smartwatches. Their biggest rival in the industry Apple is also rumored to be working on a new version of its wearable that might be released sometime shortly.

According to sources, Apple Watch Series 7 will feature a new smaller “S7” chip which will offer more space for other components like a bigger battery. Reports have arrived stating that the next-generation Apple Watch will feature a double-sided System in Package or SiP packaging which will come from Apple’s Taiwanese supplier ASE Technology.

According to the supplier’s website, the double-sided chip technology will save space or provide module miniaturization which will allow the “S7” chip to be smaller in size. As we have heard from previous speculations the Apple Watch Series 7 will be released in September alongside the new iPhone models.

Apart from the above-mentioned information, it’s also rumored that the Apple Watch could feature a design overhaul, bringing the aesthetics closer to the iPhone lineup with a boxier look and feel. Reports from Bloomberg and Debby We states that the Apple Watch Series 7 will also feature a thinner display and lamination technique. We have already seen the previously leaked flat-edged design of the watch and the technique will bring the display closer to the front cover.

Coming to features of the Series 7 it will house temperature sensing features and blood glucose monitoring. However, it’s not confirmed as to whether the blood glucose monitor will arrive in the upcoming model or with its future Apple Watch variants.

For more information stay tuned.
