Flipkart Ventures, the investment arm of e-commerce giant Flipkart, has announced its backing of two Indian technology startups, Alive and Keploy. The investments aim to support artificial intelligence (AI)-driven innovation across consumer experiences and software development.

Both startups will receive capital, strategic mentorship, operational expertise, and access to Flipkart’s broader ecosystem, designed to assist their growth and scaling efforts.

Flipkart : Bolstering India’s AI Ecosystem

Alive operates an AI-powered platform for curated lifestyle experiences, currently offering over 500 live experiences across major Indian cities, including Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Goa. The platform leverages AI to design, build, and distribute these experiences nationwide.

Keploy is a native-AI software testing platform that assists engineering teams in replicating production scenarios and identifying regressions in new software releases and AI-generated code earlier in the development lifecycle. Its open-source continuous verification platform converts real application traffic into replayable regression tests and digital twin sandboxes.

Strategic Support for Emerging Technologies

The founders of the backed companies highlighted the strategic value of the partnership. Vivek Kumar, Founder of Alive, noted that Flipkart Ventures provides “consumer-scale distribution thinking and operating depth we would otherwise take years to build.” Neha Gupta and Shubham Jain, Founders of Keploy, emphasized that Flipkart Ventures’ backing extends “beyond capital,” offering collaboration with Flipkart’s engineering teams and ecosystem to accelerate their vision for continuous verification.

Flipkart Ventures maintains a focus on supporting early-stage Indian technology startups across various sectors, including AI, consumer internet, fintech, e-commerce adjacencies, and logistics tech. Since its inception, the firm has supported over 20 startups, providing portfolio companies with access to Flipkart leadership for strategic guidance in business, product, technology, and finance. The initiative also aligns with a Memorandum of Understanding signed with the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, aiming to invest in and empower technology startups across India.
