PSG are getting very close to completing the transfer for Inter Milan wing-back Achraf Hakimi. As per Fabrizio Romano, the French club have achieved agreement on personal terms with the player, and have prepared a contract of five years for him.
They previously had a bid of around €60 million for him rejected. But now, they are coming back around and are confident of sealing the deal for €70 million. Add-ons and other small details in the deal will also be discussed.
Hakimi has emerged as one of the best wing-backs in the world. He enjoyed a very good season under Antonio Conte, winning the Serie A title at the end of the year. His attacking output yielded 7 goals and 11 assists across 45 appearances in all competitions for Inter Milan.
He is also very versatile in his playing style, and can play on the left flank as well. The former Real Madrid man joined Inter only in 2020 and has a contract until 2025. However, due to Inter’s financial condition, they will have to part ways with one of their best players to raise funds to keep things stable.
Chelsea are also interested in the player, but have not submitted an official bid for him. They are only in contact with his agent. But, with the way things are developing, the French capital seems to be the next destination for the Moroccan international.
