Manchester City have officially submitted a bid for Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane, according to renowned transfer insider Fabrizio Romano. The player has long been linked with a move to City, and the rumours started gaining even more traction since he announced that he wanted to leave.
According to Romano, Manchester City have put up a €100 million offer and have also included players which might include Raheem Sterling, Aymeric Laporte and Gabriel Jesus going the other way.
Tottenham have no intentions of accepting this formal bid placed by the Cityzens, and they plan on doing everything to keep Harry Kane at the club. Daniel Levy has maintained his position on the transfer, saying that he intends on keeping Kane. However, given that the player wants out, he might have to force the move.
The formal decision will have to wait until after the Euros. The player is currently focused solely on competing in the ongoing tournament, and his club future will only be decided once the Euros are over.
Given how difficult Levy is to deal with, and that Spurs are firm on their demand for over £120 million, Manchester City might have to step up their offer to land the England captain this summer.
Kane won the Golden Boot, as well as the playmaker award in the Premier League for the most number of assists. However, he was surprisingly not voted the PFA Player of the Year, which was awarded to Kevin De Bruyne once again. The striker wants Champions League football, and Manchester City, the runners-up of 2021, are one of the best candidates to help him fulfill that dream.
