BGMI just dropped what might be its most jam-packed season yet — and it’s not just about new guns or maps. KRAFTON India has rolled out the BGMI 4.6 Update, mixing a brand-new supernatural mode, the triumphant return of a fan-favourite underwater world, and the debut of an original Indian character built entirely from scratch. If you thought battle royale seasons were starting to feel repetitive, this one’s designed to prove otherwise.

Midnight Hunters: A Vampire Twist on Battle Royale
The season’s centerpiece is Midnight Hunters, live on Erangel from September 16 to November 16. Locations like Rozhok, Mylta, Quarry and Gatka turn into Vampire Takeover points, while Stalber and Sosnovka Military Base become the Nightkeeper’s Hunter Guild — an indoor arena packed with hidden challenges.
The real twist? Bloodline Awakening lets eliminated players come back as Vampires, with up to 20 active at once, wielding abilities like Claw Strike and Blood Sense. Director Srinjoy Das called it a genuine departure, noting that changing what happens after elimination isn’t something battle royales usually do.
Ocean Odyssey Makes Its Comeback
Two weeks into the season, on September 30, Ocean Odyssey returns to Erangel by popular demand. The Ocean Palace, the Trident, and the Kraken are all back, giving veteran players nostalgia and newcomers a first look at BGMI’s underwater departure from traditional gameplay.
Kiaraa: BGMI’s Next India-First Character
Following Anamika, BGMI’s first India-made character IP, Kiaraa arrives October 8 with her own origin story and a dedicated Diwali-themed Indian Bazaar on Erangel. Players can activate peacock-shaped lamps to trigger her Boss Battle and unlock the Kiaraa Nakshatra Collection, including the Divine Peacock Glider and Divine Chariot Buggy.
It’s part of a bigger shift in how BGMI approaches Indian content — not just adding local flavor, but building entire worlds and characters designed around Indian players. This mirrors how major live-service games globally use festivals like Diwali as a cultural anchor for seasonal in-game events.
Collaborations, Creators, and a Diwali Prize Path
The season isn’t short on crossovers either. One Punch Man skins arrive September 21, Lincoln Motor Cruize runs through November 9, and B.DUCK brings a playful turn-based mode. On the creator side, popular YouTuber Techno Gamerz gets his own in-game voice pack and collection from October 20.
Meanwhile, BGMI’s first India-built Diwali Prize Path kicks off October 22, running 20 levels through November 15, with rewards including a Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 and Bullet 350.
