Haiwaan Twitter Review: Fans Can’t Stop Praising Akshay Kumar’s Menacing Transformation

Priyadarshan’s latest thriller “Haiwaan” hit theatres today, September 11, and Twitter (now X) wasted no time flooding timelines with verdicts. Pairing Saif Ali Khan and Akshay Kumar in a cat-and-mouse thriller was always going to draw eyeballs — and early reactions suggest the gamble is paying off.

What’s the Buzz Really Saying?

Scrolling through the timeline, one theme keeps repeating: Akshay Kumar’s transformation into a genuinely menacing antagonist has caught people off guard. Several users called his performance intense, praising his screen presence and the sheer attitude he brings to what looks like his most villainous role in years.

Saif Ali Khan isn’t getting overshadowed either — most reviewers are calling his performance solid and layered, even if the spotlight this time seems to be stolen by Akshay’s darker avatar.

Why the Twist Is the Real Talking Point

Beyond performances, what’s genuinely exciting fans is the film’s climax. Multiple reviewers flagged a surprise twist in the second half that reportedly catches audiences off guard — a hallmark of Priyadarshan’s storytelling style, known for blending tension with sharp narrative turns. One viewer went as far as calling it a fantastic film driven entirely by its unpredictable finish.

Priyadarshan’s Direction Gets Its Due
