Taemin’s New Light Stick Is More Than a Concert Prop — It’s a Lamp and a Lantern Too

SHINee’s Taemin just gave fans a fresh reason to get excited for his upcoming tour. On September 9, he unveiled teaser photos for version 2 of his official light stick, and it comes with a clever twist: the design hints at a dual function as both a lamp and a lantern.

What We Know So Far

The preview images, shared straight from Taemin, tease a light stick built for more than just waving at concerts. Its apparent ability to transform into a lamp or lantern suggests fans could use it well beyond the venue — a small but thoughtful upgrade from a typical fan merch item.

Perfect Timing With His Comeback

The light stick reveal lands right as Taemin is riding high on his recent comeback. He returned with his solo EP “PHASE 1 : Soft Violence,” led by the title track and music video for “FLOAT.” The momentum couldn’t be better timed, with fans eager for merchandise tied to this new era.

Building Up to the World Tour

The new light stick also arrives as Taemin gears up for his 2026–27 solo world tour “LiMiNaL,” giving fans a fitting new accessory to bring along as he takes the era on the road globally.

Taemin has been a member of SHINee since the group’s 2008 debut, and continues to build a strong solo career alongside the group’s ongoing activities.
