Knowing Bros Just Lost a Second Original Member to Hiatus, and Fans Are Taking Notice

A show that’s run for nearly 11 years rarely sees its founding cast shrink overnight — but that’s exactly what’s happening on Knowing Bros right now. Original member Min Kyung Hoon is stepping away from the show, becoming the second long-running cast member to go on hiatus in recent memory.

Knowing Bros: Overview

What Was Announced

A representative for Knowing Bros confirmed that Min Kyung Hoon will be stepping away from the show following this week’s broadcast, but stressed that it’s a temporary break rather than a permanent departure. Filming for his final upcoming episodes has already wrapped, though no timeline has been given for when he might return. In the meantime, the show will bring in special guest MCs to fill his usual spot.

Why This Matters

Min Kyung Hoon has been part of Knowing Bros since it first launched in December 2015, making him one of the show’s original, longest-standing cast members. His hiatus comes at a time when the show is already adjusting to Kim Heechul’s absence, who stepped away earlier for health reasons. With two original members currently off the show, the Knowing Bros lineup looks noticeably different from the one longtime viewers are used to.

What’s Next for the Show

For now, Knowing Bros will continue running with rotating special guest MCs covering the gap left by Min Kyung Hoon. Whether this shift is temporary or signals a longer transition in the show’s cast dynamic remains to be seen, especially with no return date confirmed for either departed member.
